Edited Taped Case Presentation: Using Augmented and Virtual Reality in Aortic valve guidance supports accurate valve placement in TAVI
This research project aims to propose a model and / or tool for decision-making processes diagnostic in interventional cardiovascular medicine.
To aid this diagnosis, we will build a graphical user interface GUI that will use a three-dimensional stereoscopic volumetric reconstruction of the coronary and the left ventricle from the conventional angiographic images (2D), Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and computed tomography.
In the specific case of TAVI, our GUI, show a futuristic vision that adds 3D, Real Time, Augmented and Virtual Reality to define projections and surgical parameters controlled by the Interventional Cardiologist exclusively.
This video will aim to present the actions of the surgeon, live imaging captured from fluoroscopy and heart model computer graphics in their angiographic projection all in "relief" .
See -through headset that displays holograms and digital contents of our AR & VR 3D Heart APPS and how this new approach may assist the surgeon in search of a better diagnostic.
